I was discovering the joy of travelling – packing for the trip, taking a train or bus, reaching some place and exploring it, eating local food and mingling with the people of the region – that was the extent of the ‘adventure’ I was comfortable with. But, unbeknownst to me, adventure, in its own way, was seeking me out.
My number one tip to those who want to soak every experience on their travels is – mingle with the locals. Eat/drink with them, talk to them, and most importantly, smile at them.
I’ve had a long love affair with the Monsoon that started when I was a child growing up in Kerala.
