In the roadtrips we took after this first one, we relied heavily on the TTK Map – including the time when we drove over 2000 kms from Vishakapatnam to Delhi with our 4 month old angelic daughter, ensconced safely in the backseat of our sedan in a custom created baby seat!
I was discovering the joy of travelling – packing for the trip, taking a train or bus, reaching some place and exploring it, eating local food and mingling with the people of the region – that was the extent of the ‘adventure’ I was comfortable with. But, unbeknownst to me, adventure, in its own way, was seeking me out.
My number one tip to those who want to soak every experience on their travels is – mingle with the locals. Eat/drink with them, talk to them, and most importantly, smile at them.
